The only part that was open was a tiny bar, which offered a limited bar food menu that we could have chosen from. We were extremely disappointed. The friendly young bartender apologized repeatedly and explained that they had been unsuccessful in removing the listing from OpenTable. Unfortunately, we left without knowing where to go for dinner. Thankfully, we were able to secure a table at another lovely restaurant while standing on the sidewalk. As a result of this experience, we will no longer be using OpenTable for fear of encountering a similar situation in the future.
At dinner, there was only one server who also doubled as the bartender and cleared tables. He was a very pleasant guy and worked hard, but it was clear that the restaurant was extremely understaffed.
We had breakfast in a quiet dining room on a chilly, rainy morning. Our meal of avocado toast with perfectly poached eggs and classic eggs, bacon, and toast was served promptly by friendly staff who also acted as hostesses. The dining room had a French ambiance, featuring dark wood, a decorated ceiling, and red velvet curtains at the entrance. This cozy restaurant is located just one block away from the Amazon spheres.
When I made the reservation I thought it was another place. I was surprised to find it is a hotel restaurant. No one at the door to check us in, no one came to us, we had to walk to the very back of the place to get someones attention and be sat. Our waiter/waitress, was very nice and friendly. The food was good, nothing to write home about but good.
The food was so so, the service was excellent. They left a piece of tin foil on a piece of cheese in my salad. They discounted it by 20% but biting into tin foil is jarring. Should have comped it.
