Modan - South Pasadena

This is a great little spot in South Pasadena with an appealing menu selection. We decided to share the curries, spider slider, and spicy tuna shell, and I particularly enjoyed the spider slider the most. As for the ramen, it was impressive! The broth was surprisingly rich and flavorful. The chashu was well-cooked—not exactly melt-in-your-mouth tender, but quite tasty. I did wish they provided a bit more toppings, though. Overall, the flavors were excellent!

Delicious food and excellent customer service. The atmosphere is lovely and welcoming. We'll definitely be returning!

Fantastic ramen! I came with my family and we were seated right away. The restaurant fills up quickly. We ordered a variety of dishes, trying almost everything on the menu. We had poke salad, roasted green beans, and gyoza as well. Everything was perfectly cooked and very well seasoned. The service was attentive, and the environment was clean. It was a wonderful first ramen experience for my mother; she loved it! Highly recommended, and we will definitely be back.

This place is close to everything, never too busy. The quality is great and you need to have the spicy edamame here, it's better than any I had just anywhere. The prices are a bit high for the location, but it is a leak safe.

Nice atmosphere and great service. I ordered modan ramen first visit. Tastey broth and noodles. Sons tried spicy black ramen also excellent. We look forward to returning soon.
