The establishment offers a wide variety of beers, as well as wine for those who prefer it. We tried a few pizzas, a rocket and balsamic salad, and even a meatball dish. The pizzas were generously sized and tasty. This place is definitely worth a visit if you are headed to Whistler or the Sea to Sky Gondola.
We tried three different beers at the restaurant: two were delicious, while the third one was not to our liking. However, taste is subjective and we wouldn't judge the entire brewery based on one beer. We give the restaurant three stars for the food. The dishes were decent, but not outstanding. The lamb dish was a bit dry and overwhelmed by the taste of cumin. The pizza was average and slightly undercooked. Overall, we believe the main draw of this restaurant is the beer, so three stars seems fair based on our visit.
We had a fantastic experience at Backcountry Brew with delicious pizza and great beer. Megan and Hailey provided excellent service and we will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
Fun interior, efficient staff, delicious beer. Backcountry seems to do a particularly good work on citrus beer, and the tangent in the 'I'm Not even Supposed To Be Here Today' was fantastic. Happy to have a kitchen on site, and the 'The Amore' pizza... was delish, really excellent pizza. Absolutely come back.
We get a lot of take out and have frequented almost every Squamish restaurant. The pizza at Backcountry Brewing is fabulous (the prosciutto fig is our favourite ! Unfortunately, every single time we have gone to BB, we have been met with lukewarm reception. You are...made to wait and then met with an arrogant indifference. Where other local restaurants go out of their way to make you feel welcome and valued, BB leaves you wishing you had spent your money somewhere else. It’s too bad because the restaurant has the potential to be a great meet up place (like A-Frame Brewing Co. , but the service leaves a bitter aftertaste.
