I used to visit this restaurant every week years ago with my former boss. The service and atmosphere were great back then. However, I recently visited two weeks in a row and while the food was still great, the service was horrendous. The two European waitresses had some sort of attitude. They only brought one jam for eight pieces of toast, and when I asked for another cube of jam, I was met with resistance. One waitress even rolled her eyes when she realized I wanted a second one. I had to ask for utensils and was treated as though I was asking for the world. It was busy, so I understand the long wait to order. In conclusion, the food was great, but don't expect a smile. I won't be returning. There are plenty of breakfast restaurants with great food and friendly service. The cooks received a $10 tip, but the waitress received nothing.

All I can say about this place is: check your bill. The prices on the menu does not match what was hand written on the receipt. Examples? I had the Eggs Benedict which read 15.49 on the menu but was 15.99 on the bill. We added an additional egg which should have been 1.79 but was 2.00 on the bill. These are small amounts but when we added it all up, we were overcharged 12.00. The waitress reassured me that she did the tax amount in her head. Instead of arguing, I got the hell out of there. It was a weird experience. If anyone can recommend another breakfast place please send a comment.

We were disappointed with our experience at this restaurant as they only accepted cash or debit payments. As American tourists, we found ourselves paying a higher price due to only having US dollars on hand. The food was average, but when we requested a bill, we were only given a verbal total without any detailed breakdown of the charges. We were surprised to be asked to pay $60 for a simple dish of eggs and potatoes. Despite feeling unhappy about the situation, we decided to pay and leave quickly as we were on a tight schedule during our vacation. Looking back, we regret not pressing for a detailed bill and questioning the high cash payment in US dollars. This experience served as a lesson for us to always ask for a detailed bill before paying or to avoid cash-only establishments altogether. To the owners, we express our disappointment in their practice of taking advantage of American tourists who may only have US dollars on them.
