To our delight, we learned that they offered a tapas menu, and I can honestly say I've never seen a tapas selection this impressive before! For dinner, we indulged in the following dishes: - Pâté with native currant jam - Marron with garlic butter (finally!) - KI Patatas Bravas with smoky paprika and mayo - Pork and veal meatballs in rich tomato sauce - Lamb chimichurri skewers with KI natural sheep's yogurt, mint, and basil pesto - Baked camembert with quince paste We accompanied our meal with a delightful bottle of Shiraz (and of course, more Shiraz!), as well as coffee. I cannot emphasize enough that this is the best tapas menu I've ever encountered. Each dish was exquisite, with perfectly balanced flavors that were simply delicious. The dishes were brought to our table in an order that enhanced each course, and we weren’t overwhelmed by a multitude of plates going cold. Both Catherine, our waitress, and the chef, Angela, were incredibly friendly, warm, fun, and helpful. The restaurant itself is stylish and trendy, boasting one of the best views on Kangaroo Island. I highly recommend that anyone visiting KI make a stop here—it's a must! This is a night that Jeff and I will cherish forever. We can’t wait to return next year. Way to go, Table 88!
The view is absolutely stunning. Unfortunately, we didn't have reservations, which resulted in a lengthy wait for a table. Additionally, it took about 30 minutes for us to get a glass of wine because we weren't informed that we needed to order from the bar; we were just told to take a seat outside. That said, we recognized that they were quite busy, so we understood the situation. We definitely plan to return in the future, and this time we'll make sure to have a reservation.
The view alone makes this place worth visiting, so make sure to stay for the sunset. The tapas and drinks are fantastic, and the service is top-notch. If you're in the area on the north coast, definitely stop by. I've returned several times, and the food, service, and view continue to impress.
This was an excellent dining experience made all the better by the spectacular view over Stoke's Bay. The food was fresh and delicious, especially the whiting ceviche! The team here are committed to showing off the best of KI produce, and the result is great food and drink for a very reasonable price.
Delicious food and a seriously great atmosphere followed by friendly and welcoming staff. Would come here every week if it was possible.
