A&W - Strathmore

The place, as always, has good breakfasts and good standards for a quick and easy meal. It is much easier to head over to the restaurant while at the rodeo. Good morning option.

What a great disappointment. My wife ordered a burger with light sauce. She used napkins to wipe most of it off. I asked for a small burger with lettuce, tomatoes, catsup and onions. I got a burger that was missing a tomato and lettuce. It had one thin onion. As near as I can figure it was a joke burger that may have been left over from April Fool's Day. My wife talked with them. There were no apologies, no 25 cents off next time, no nothing. We usually take food back once we discover issues but it's usually not worth the trouble. Just take our business elsewhere. Their attitudes matter though.

Have been eating g at A and W since I was 5 years old and that is a very long time. The day they started the Anti Alberta Beef ads I and everyone I know do not go there period. There has not been hormones or any other thing in Canadian Beef maybe ever. Too bad as we loved the place.

The burgers are extremely salty, the fries are greasy and so is the chicken. Whenever I stay in, I am never offered or given a frosted mug with my root beer (the only reason I stay to eat). Prices are quite high for what you get.

Management should be commended. They’ve hired the right people who provide quick, accurate and friendly service. While the menu is franchise driven. The food is always prepared to perfection. This restaurant is clean.
