Rietvallei Wine Estate - Swellendam

We arrived during a busy school weekend and were welcomed by anke and team very kindly. although under pressure anke still outstanding and professional service. she knows the wee really and is a great botanical for rietvallei. the free, flat brot is a beautiful note and something that is offered unique. great wine, great mood with friendly and professional service. we're coming back.

It was a wonderful experience. anke basson in the tasting room was so friendly, spontaneous and knowledgeable. the wee are really good, especially the red mix and cabernet franc. that's a real home.

Beautiful grounds with tasting-and-sales room newly renovated in late 2017. Large variety of wines presented by a friendly host. I recommend combining tasting with their cheese platter on the patio. Soft drinks also for sale. They charge a small tasting fee but it is waived if you buy wine. Fair prices for good quality wines. Worth a visit on the Robertson wine route.

Lovely red wines. The complimentary Bubbles and flat bread where a fantastic idea and much appreciated. The chardonnay bubbles are delicious. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.

Rietvallei has always been one of my favorite wineries in the Robertson area, but we hadn't visited them in a while so we decided to visit them again. I am glad to say that things have only improved. They have a new tasting room with a beautiful outside seating area where you can do wine tastings or just relax with a glass of wine. They have 4 different wine ranges, from your entry level (cost effective yet very tasty wines) to their premium range, perfect for those special occasions. We had a great time and walked away with a box of wine. A must-visit winery!
