We visited this evening based on a recommendation from friends. I knew it was going to be good because there were a lot of Indian diners always a good sign in an Indian restaurant. Lots of parking around thre front and back of the building and a nice clean restaurant.Service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. I suspect that the owners/ manager keep a close eye on the place as our experience was almost faultless. The food was excellent. The chef here clearly understands flavor. I don't use the word chef lightly. This guy is good. We found the food to be very tasty without the usual overpowering flavors you would see in most other Indian restaurants. Our pasta/ pizza loving kids absolutely loved the entrees and breads. Also thoroughly enjoyed the mains. Here's what we ordered tonight and would order each dish again I'd we went back.Entree: Chicken Tikka Paneer Manchurian/ Chilly Tandoori SalmonMains: Madras Goat Curry Hara Bara Chicken Butter Chicken Garlic Butter Naan Cheese Stuffed Naan(Some of the better breads anywhere in Sydney) Saffron RiceDessert: Gulab JamunWell worth the drive from the Hills. Well done Samarkhand Restaurant. We will be back.Highly recommended.
Amazing food and staff Fish Amratsari was very yummy. My daughter liked Mango Lassi. :
First time here last night delicious food great atmosphere definitely coming back.
Simple and modest setup which is easily outweighed by the quality of the food. The curry eggplant and fish is just divine, but many other dishes are amazing too. If you want quality and authenticity of food and don't mind a basic setup, this is your place.
