The Local Diner (stag Park) - Taupo

If they are to eat after a simple but hearty, this is the place to go. grinding times are great and very favorable. the service from the heart behind the counter could not have been better, he was an absolute joy.

Very nice place and staff are so friendly.. Our dinner was nice, a side of salad would of been nice with the meals but overall everything was great..

Wow what a fantastic place good to see it still open. I had taken my Mum and Daughter there on Saturday my Mum has not been back until then it's only taken 40 years. Gary and staff were magic food was fantastic cook to how we liked it! free mushrooms with garlic butter on my beautiful steak coffee was wonderful milkshake awesome. Old fashioned service I do highly recommend it such amazing place we will be back with a bus load.

Awesome place to eat, very accommodating and willing to change up food choices to suit personal preference. Welcoming owner and staff and super helpful when our car broke down on our road trip and we had to hire a rental vehicle. Check it out peeps, you don’t know what you’re missing. Cheers. DC

The staff at De Brett's recommended this restaurant to us and I am glad they did! I feel like this is Taupo's best kept secret. Something we miss about American restaurant's is having a lot of choice in the menu and The Local Diner has plenty. Everyone in our family of 5 raved about what they ordered. Everything is fresh and homemade. Delicious!
