Saddle Mountain Restaurant

Some people may think it takes a while to get your food but I feel that it was probably because it was made from scratch. We ordered the hamburgers and they were delicious except our youngest daughter wasn’t keen on hers. That’s where the super...service comes in. They went out of their way to ensure that everyone was satisfied with their meal. Good food good service highly recommend!

I have read all the reviews about this restaurant and I have to say, I can't complain at all.

Putting the mosquitoes to one side for which the restaurant has no control.....the food maybe some what overpriced but they are the only "show in town" and it wasn't bad at all (we had the steaks). The nasty taste is always in the hidden taxes (why does Canada not include these in the price?) and the discretionary service charges.In this case they appeared to have slipped a service charge of 15% onto bills over $100 and then let you add your additional tip on top of this. To me this is double dipping.The waiter did pay the extra service charge back after we asked for a copy of the itemised bill (which had somehow disappeared). Why is there a 15% service charge for bills over $100?Guys, you might get away with this as being the only "place in town", but your reputation will not be enhanced by this behaviourYou have been warned, alway check the itemised bill.

There is inside and outside dining, it is very casual so good for families. Clean and tidy. We sat inside as we read a previous review that said they had problems with mosquitoes outside. Plus it was 35 degrees so we wanted to be in the air conditioning inside area. Waitress was young and friendly, bought us menus and water straight away. Menu does not have a large selection of food. A couple of salads, pastas, pizzas, hamburgers, steak, chicken and fish. We were not asked if we wanted something else to drink besides the water. I had a lovely salad which I added chicken to, which cost a extra $6.95 and there was a very small amount of chicken, not $6.95 worth. I asked for extra dressing on the side. I got this however, there was no dressing on the salad, there was only my dressing on the side which I then got charged $1.95 for. My husband had a hamburger which he enjoyed there were a lot of fries, and he didn't eat them as he ordered a salad as well. We had dessert me a brownie and ice cream my husband a blue berry pie. These were both very nice but would have been better if they were hot, as they were served cold.

Nice patio! Pizza was best I've had in a long time !! I believe it was stone cooked.. flavour was really great!
