Roger and his dad, Ben, went to the game with us and met us at the pub.<br/ <br/ Gord ordered lemon pepper wings with a side Caesar salad. He really liked the wings.<br/ <br/ Roger and Ben ordered a burger and fries. They said their meal was good and both finished everything.<br/ <br/ I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Crunch sandwich (with no cheese or lettuce). He said it was very good.<br/ <br/ As always, Sean and Tony (who was bartending) took excellent care of us.

I met up with some close friends on a Friday night at Strath Pub, located in the basement of a hotel near Royal York. We all work in downtown and were looking for a simple, cozy atmosphere to unwind without the need for a trendy hotspot. The pub had a laid-back vibe, reminiscent of hanging out in a friend's basement with a pool table and bar. They offered a variety of popular beer brands in bottle, half pint, and pint sizes. I enjoyed a Sleeman's Honey Brown and a pint of Harps. For food, we ordered Calamari ($9.95) and a Combo Platter ($39.95) which included pizza, fries, breaded shrimp, samosas, and chicken balls. The platter was split into two plates for sharing among our group of five. While the calamari was average, the samosas and pizza were quite delicious. The samosas had a nice spice to them and the pepperoni on the pizza was tasty. The relaxed atmosphere allowed us to unwind, reminisce, and joke around as if we were back in high school.
We had supper before this evening at The Strath Pub. Gord ordered the Classic Reuben. He said it was good. I ordered what I usually ordered there ... the Buffalo Chicken Crunch (but no cheese, lettuce or slaw . It was delicious! Tony was our server and he took excellent care of us. It's been about a year since I've been there yet Tony remember what I drank and what I ordered (he even remember that I don't want the lettuce, cheese or slaw! . He gave us a shooter to celebrate an early St. Patrick's Day. Thanks, Tony!
I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Crunch sandwich without lettuce and with mozzarella cheese instead of provolone. I had it a few weeks ago and really liked it. It was just as delicious tonight! Gord tried the pepperoni and mushroom pizza for the first time and thought it was fantastic. He said he would definitely order it again. Our server, Tony, provided us with excellent service and took great care of us throughout our meal.
