Durrant House - Torridge

Our group of four made a reservation for Sunday Lunch at The Olive Tree Restaurant. The food was fantastic, filling, and served hot. A big thank you to the attentive restaurant staff who took great care of us. I found out that the beef came from a nearby butcher shop. To top it off, we were surprised with a complimentary dessert included in the special £12.50 price. We enjoyed our experience so much that we have already reserved a table for Christmas Day Lunch.

Here with the February-Valbine offer. the restaurant is old, but comfortable and elegant. the dame waitress was excellent. the best service I have received for one. Thank you. the meal was good. steaks were in order (provided the special deal. we have) and the rest of the meal was good. the desserts were delicious. also the older Italian) waiter at the bar was very helpful. my sister is a local recommended it also for afternoon tea. for the beautiful staff. for eating.

Do not visit this restaurant. If they have any sense, they would have read the negative reviews and avoided this place. Everything is prepared from frozen ingredients and lacks flavor. I regret dining here and would not recommend it.

Very poor service and eating quite poor as well as great lack of any seasonal and also not very well cooked. also plastic-covered menus were not cleaned after they were saved again, salt and pepper pots were dirty! would not eat there definitiw again.

We visited a restaurant that was advertised as a fine dining establishment with a decent menu selection. Despite having reservations, we were surprised to find that we were seated at one of the tables in the restaurant. The appetizers were beautifully presented and set high expectations for the rest of the meal. However, most of the main courses were just okay, with some issues like hair found in one dish and a overly hot salad in another. The cheese pizza, which was supposed to be a special treat for cheese lovers, turned out to be a frozen Chicago Town pizza. When we questioned the staff about this, the chef had already left and the acting deputy manager was rude and unhelpful. He offered to reimburse us for the pizza from his own pocket, which was a strange response to our inquiry. Overall, the experience was disappointing and we do not plan to return to this restaurant.
