A refreshing change from the Japanese chef who clearly knows his trade well......very well in fact. Lunch with a limited menu of two choices for earch course suited us perfectly. Surprises in every mouthful with well crafted flavour combinations that delighted every time. If forced to suggest an improvement a minor point would be to see a different cut of meat than the bavette such as rump steak or faux filet as I think it would have better suited the chefs undoubted skills, but it was fine. Wine choices by the glass at lunchtime a little limited but we were happy with those we selected. Service was as efficient as it was charming, warm, helpful and friendly with staff understanding the dishes served very well. Given the quality and price we thought the value excellent and frankly Hito deserves a Michelin Bib Gourmand rating not just a simple Michelin basic notation. We look forward to returning. Thanks to the entire team for an excellent lunch.
This is a fantastic restaurant. The service and food are both exceptional and the variety of flavours and ingredients in the dishes are superb. I would have liked a savoury option rather than only sweet desserts but this doesn't fault the quality of the dishes.
We were during lunch time at this restaurant and luckily we had a reservation (Hito is a small restaurant and all the 8 tables were occupied). We had a three course menu (22 euro) and we choose for the menu wiith fish. Delicious The desert (strawberry, meringue, green icecream) was unique. Service is very attentive and professional. Should this restaurant be in our home town, we would visit it every week!
Tried Hito for lunch. Deceptively plain exterior to restaurant, that I think I would have walked past had I not previously read a review. Only a small restaurant and very simple choice of menu, so perhaps not good choice for those with particular needs or fussy? But food I had was excellent and very well prepared and tasty, with typical French and mediterranean ingredients but also an asian style. Really good value and friendly staff. Will certainly dine here again and recommend to others.
I was recommended to visit this restaurant and did so yesterday, together with some colleagues/friends. Well, wooow, what a pleasant surprise! The Japanese chef really offered us an extremely creative and tasteful dinner. Combinations of fish and meat that one wouldn’t expect but with the creams and sauces tasted delicious! Price-quality ratio is absolutely top. The menu at 35 euro or with an additional foie gras dish (which was supergood) at 45 euro is more than reasonable and worth every little penny! If you want to enjoy a very nice roadtrip of tastes, go there. It is a wonderful experience!
