Gastronomica Wapping - Tower Hamlets

After we read a few travel advisors commentary, we thought we would do it a little unfortunately the one worker could not speak or understand English, maybe because he did not take his headphones out when talking to us, a menu might have helped...how good! we ended up with what we were told, was a traditional Italian breakfast cold meat and it was ok, but not really what we were after

I found that on the Thames path. what a friendly reception, big coffee and ice water. that was also a reasonable price.

So I came to this restaurant to get some cheep standard Italian cuisine while waiting for my bus to amsterdam, and I would like to say that it does an extremely good work. When I came in, there was only one other table in the restaurant, and so it was during my stay, but our waitress and bartender and busser and everything was very helpful. the service was excellent, and she was thrilled. I have to say that I have also enjoyed their service and eating! I have a tagliatelle al funghi porcini and my friend has the parmagiana. both were extremely great!

If you want to sit in a quiet place with some nice music, have delicious dinner / lunch with quality products and meet some really friendly people this is their place! we go every other week and usually order the special of the day. (pasta) and it's just amazing!

I am very disappointed with this place as they hardly make any effort to ensure that the Paninis' are fresh and tasty. I work around the corner so sadly this is one of the very few decent options we have in the area. I have...been there yesterday and once again the bread was not fresh and the tomato not properly cleaned in the middle (didn't take off the green thing). Poor quantity of Ingredients too as a filling.Also the Prices keep going up and down and the staff changes very frequently. I have been even asked to pay extra on top on the Panini when I asked to add slices of tomato. The place itself looks very cute but they need to make an effort to ensure a good quality and service. There is lack of Management too. Hoping to see this little place being improved.
