The Curry Pot Restaurant - Trivandrum

We went to this restaurant for lunch one day and had the most delicious food. We had never tried Paneer Bhurji before and it was delicious! Small pieces of cheese fried with pepper, onion, and lots of tasty spices. We also enjoyed some Gobi Manchurian. A few days later, we went in the evening to try a pizza. It was decent, but not amazing. My friend ordered a bacon and tomato pizza and got chicken tikka and onion instead. My pizza had too much processed cheese on it. We realized it was our fault for ordering Italian food in a place known for its wonderful curries!

The reason we chose to dine at this restaurant was because of the positive reviews about their pizza, but I was actually quite let down by the lackluster flavor and quality.

I visited quite a few times in my 3 week stay and always received excellent service and fantastic reasonably priced food. I don't understand the discrepency between my experience and others but I was made to feel welcome by the whole family. I was recommended various dishes that I hadn't tried before and everything was really good. I ate out for virtually every meal and would say this was the best restaurant I ate in for the price.

I visited with my driver to order pizza for him to collect later in the day. I was informed by the Manager that it would be ready for collection at 18.30. When my driver attended at 18.30 the pizza was already ready and cold. When I called in a couple of days later to express my disappointment at receiving cold pizza the Manager was aggressive and hostile. He shouted at me that my driver was late. This was not possible as he arrived at my house at 18.38 with cold pizza. I was not asking for money back but an apology would have been appropriate. I have been using this restaurant for 12 years and service and pizza were far superior when Anil was there. I will never go there again. Judging by the empty tables every time I go past most people are avoiding this place with the aggressive manager.

Uncooked chicken with some onion curry mixed with rice and given as biryani . We will be happy to order something if they say no to the order . Forgot to take a pic but highly not recommended
