Combat Cafe - Umatilla

Only served hatch warm. tried a few bites, not good.talked to(own) cook. He said it came right from the grill, but the food was only warm. Potatoes wouldn't even melt butter. asked for postwar answered no, because I tried to eat it.cook excused, not even suggested a remake. can have put food on cold plate. just a waitress. very disappointed. what I could not recommend. tries to support local business.

Excellent food. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Not much to look at on the outside but inside was a real treat. Veteran owned and operated, which is always a joy to support our troops in any way we can.

We were in need of a good place to do the signing for our refinance on our home and meeting with the mobile notary at combat Café worked out perfectly they set a place aside for us and as always made some fairly good food!

Finally got to visit the combat Cafe restaurant, very homey place, decorated with alot of War memorabilia .we were welcomed right away by a great server and sorry to say I didn't catch her name,we ordered right away ,and I must say the food was very good, great portions, and good prices.I believe the manager name was Bruce and he came over to talk to us,he mentioned that his wife Beth did the cooking.I had read that earlier in the year that they were talking about closing through lack of support,but many customers old and new stepped up to the plate and supported them to stay open, I for one will go back .they are open 7 days aweek from 6am.-2pm.

So what a great restaurant. Felt right at home here. Came in with a large group of Soldiers and wow just had a great time and the food just perfect. Wanted to take a picture of the food when it came out but it was soooo good I forgot. Lots of military memorabilia on the walls and very patriotic just my kind of place. Thank you for appreciating us and always thanking us. Very grateful for your Support and your service to this country. This is a must visit for all. I will be back.
