Le Vieux Rocher - Vallauris

Many of the reviews I have read are old, so here is a current, and yes, during the covid pandemic. first a bit of history: the mayor here a few years ago that all beach restaurants should be taken down and those. owners then, on fair wise, the offer to restart and rebuild their restaurants (or not we have been coming to cannes for over ten years and we check a lot of bars on the beach near cannes. we find that golfing juan is perfect for us (a few middle-aged), which is of the poor and the driving of cannes, including inflated croisette prizes. I think that was one of the first restaurants to be rebuilt, others like so beach have moved into the west beach of the city. there is a selection of some similar beach bars with private loungers, but we like the atmosphere here. not too loud, clean, lots of space (important in these difficult times), and a good menu. and they have reviewed our health certificate. ok, the prices seem a bit high for a pornstar), but this is the south of france and they pay for excellent French cuisine! a day pampered a couple for sunbed, lunch and drink. something we can't do every day, but it's worth pampering us occasionally. I would definitely recommend this bar.

Avoid this place. the waiter has got me the wrong drink (their mistake), would not take it back or remove it from check. also poor food, terrible service. la serve s’est trompé de boisson et nous l’a facturé. les plats étaient fits. le service terrible. a fire

It seems that many of the positive reviews are now a few years old and obviously have changed the dings! but not the better. I agree with the other review of juni this year that the place of my opinion after of. bad service and an atmosphere that made us feel unwilling. we went with the intention of sunbeds and lunches, but gave on eating ideas there, so can not comment on the food standard. they would think that with all that goes on with regard to covid, that they would do their best to the much less customers / tourist who have dared unfortunately not and I will not go back, that is safe!

Elaborate, slow, average food. service with a smile that was beautiful. we were served ingredients that were not described in the menu. as a local to golf juan we will try to have a different beach bar than for the price we paid it was disappointing.

We came here twice last April when we were staying in Juan les pins and I think this beach restaurant was a newly opened venture. It is at the end of a row of beach restaurants before the harbour of Camille Rayon, and a little...more secluded than the previous establishments. When I saw no reviews after September I was worried that it had closed but we were delighted to find it open and pleasantly surprised to find that the manager remembered us seating us at the same table you had last year Food is very good. The location is brilliant. Staff are friendly. Nice chill out music. Prices are fair. And we were offered free use of the sunloungers! Well worth the mile walk to eat there.
