Moose's Down Under - Vancouver

Owner and Staff very friendly (and Australian's), food what you would call good Aussie tucker and lots of it, lots of different beers both on tap and bottled

Had the DUD burger and it tasted great, had chicken salt with my chips and felt like I was back home. Very friendly Aussie Staff. They also have a good selection of Aussie beers and even have bundy rum!

Went for lunch here and ordered the Reuben with fries. What arrived was a nice looking sandwich with lots of meat. I literally couldn't bite off the first mouthful and ended up with a chunk of very thick cut corned beef along with a large chunk of plastic. After almost choking I managed to remove a round piece of plastic wrapper that was contained with the rather tough meat.As the restaurant was very noisy it took some time to get the waitress's attention and when I did, she quickly took my plate away and returned later to apologize and tell us they were trying to figure out how that had happened. She also said no charge but never offered to get me something else to eat so I ended up going without lunch.

We were only in Vancouver for one night prior to our cruise. Once we got settled into our hotel, we were on the hunt for dinner. Just a few blocks from our hotel, we found this pub down a flight of stairs. We were very happy with our Australian beers, meat pie, and bangers and mash. The serving size was very generous. Our server was a native Australian and was able to answer pretty much any menu question we shot at him! We will certainly return to Moose's Down Under next time we are in Vancouver!

As aussies we were a bit interested to see the decor. A good atmosphere in pleasant surroundings. Good service and generous serves. We went for dinner and ordered a monster chicken parmi schnitzel and my wife had an excellent steak cooked perfectly. Most enjoyable thanks.
