Price was cheap and local... if you want to try local ilocano food at carinderia price, this place will not be disappointed

Looking for an alternative from the restos near Calle Crisologo, a kind-hearted girl heard our conversation and volunteer a canteen. We came and such a snake that is already on the way. Well, this long line must mean something and it does. They offer an extensive menu on a self-service buffet type setting. Must try, are the vegetable dishes. I ate stay here twice in our 7 days Ilocos, just because of this Dinoengdeng. Price? Good for one. Ambience? A room full of people who are satisfied with their food.

If you’re in search of authentic Ilocano cuisine, this is the place for you—offering dishes like warek warek, igado, lomo lomo, sinanglao, and dinengdeng. They really set the bar for Ilocano cooking here. The food is served in a typical carinderia style, with all the viands already prepared and displayed on the counter, so you simply point to what you want. The servings are on the smaller side, but they are packed with flavor and absolutely delicious, so you might want to order two viands per person. The pricing is based on the type of dish: P65 for beef, P60 for pork, P40 for vegetables, and P15 for rice. You can also ask for a cup of sinanglao soup at the end of the line before you pay. Please note, they only accept cash. There is a toilet available, but I didn't use it. The line can be a bit unpredictable. We arrived at 10:30 AM for brunch, which I think is a good time, as diners started coming in shortly after.
