La Baie Des Anges - Villeneuve-Loubet

We came with a Groupon coupon to this place and I read some horrible reviews just before we came. The welcome was really not warm. They questioned if we have a reservation or if we reserved on time (we reserved 2 weeks in advance). The place was almost empty, so we did not really get this fuss. We already paid, we will eat for our money. When I gave 4/5, I tried not to think about this part too much, because the food was really good. For starters we had some salads, which seemed quite fresh and tasted good. They were quite rich. As main courses we had lamb and rib steak, both were tasty. I liked the roasting and for my pregnant wife they roasted it afterwards better, although they could have asked in advance. For desserts there was not too big selection available, but both the mousse au chocolat and the creme brulée was good. This place could be much better if they invested in a friendly service as much as in their kitchen.

The appartment that we stayed in was very roomy with a lovley view. There were plenty of restaurants a supermarket a swimming pool and a lovely marina. Its a great place to tour from plenty to do in both directions we had a car but a train station was just outside the complex. Would go back. the only problem is the roads are very confusing to get into the complex but we always made it somehow !!!! Wouldnt stop us going back it was great.

We enjoyed a two week stay at the amazing Baie Des Anges apartments just outside Nice. Our apartment was spacious, comfortable and had a fabulous view from the 1st floor out to the marina and beyond. There were lots of restaurants, cafes and shops along the promenade and it would have been perfect if we'd known about the charge for the pool! The pool itself was stunning and we spent most days there but this privilege cost us the best part of £600!!! I am not kidding… it was EUR 20 per adult per day and EUR 10 per child. We only found out about it the week before we travelled and in all honesty it spoiled the holiday. We will never go back which is a shame but our budget was blown! The beach is awful so the pool was our only option…just a warning!

Good food, I had chicken and it was beautifully cooked with very tasty frites. We ate here for two of the three nights in Baie des Angles. Very varied menu.
