The service was excellent and fast, with a very professional and friendly staff. The coffee was beautiful and the food was very tasty.
While this had been quite good lunch in the past, I was very disappointed when a friend and I had eaten there last week. we both had a bagel. the bagels were pretty dense and small. even more disappointing was the filling. I had the "incenseed truthahn" with cranberry sauce etc. The truthahn originated from a "roll", i.e. from made meat, not from real truthahn, and between the 2 thin slits and one shot of cranberries, the only thing I could taste was the bushsack. it was barely $4, but I paid $14! also very bad choice of vegetarian meals for my friend. had to pick up a meal and ask for no meat. we also had to ask three times before we were given a bottle of water, and they were not busy. while the staff seemed friendly enough, and the venue is pleasant, the service and especially the eating must improve enormously before I will return.
The Intermezzo cafe in the heart of Wangaratta offers the best coffee in town! I visited for breakfast today and was impressed by their adherence to Covid-19 protocols, including social distancing measures and hand sanitizing stations. The seating arrangements both inside and outside were beautifully organized, with stunning views. They keep thorough customer records, which is essential in these times. The food was delicious, especially the house-made relish, and well worth the price. The coffee at Intermezzo is truly the best in Wangaratta. Service was attentive and friendly, making for a great experience that I plan to share with family and friends. I highly recommend Intermezzo cafe to all.
My wife, son and I stopped on the spur of the moment to have a coffee some brunch. The menu was very small the prices were quite high compared to other eateries in Wangaratta and district. The service was very slow even though...they were not particularly busy. It took about 15 minutes to be presented with the menus and then came the wait. The coffee was good although my wife and I ordered iced long blacks and they came in small water glasses. I have never, ever, has a long black in a small glass. I ordered raisin toast at a price of $5, when it came to the table there was 1 slice of toast!!! $5 for 1 slice of toast is outrageous. The toast was not even an artisan bread! I might as well have gone across to Woolworths and purchased a loaf of Raisin Bread. When paying we were asked how our meal was an we mentioned we had never ordered raisin toast before and received one slice. The guy just looked at us. I can't see myself going back again and certainly would not recommend to anyway. Far better choice and service at Cafe Pre Vue, Bertsy's, Hollywoods, Old Faithfuls and Scribblers/
