Hank’s Oyster On The Wharf

Place was packed for lunch. We sat at the bar. Friendly waiter. Great food too. Some of the sandwiches were unique and special. I want to go back for their oysters. Prices were a bit high, but there were a few well priced menu items.

Great place on the wharf near the pier. Outside dining provides a great view of the marina. The service was friendly and fast. We were seated immediately and order taken within minutes by a gracious wait staff. Being from Louisiana, I'm super picky about how oysters are cooked and these were on point. Flash fried to perfection and the coleslaw was not too sweet, a little on the pickled side which is my favorite. We also had the glazed chicken that was fall off the bone tender. Overall a very good dining experience and great atmosphere.

Excellent food and drinks! Loved the oysters and how fresh they were, as well as the different types they had to choose from. Server was helpful with suggestions on which to try and didn't steer us wrong. I thoroughly enjoyed the punch of the week too, a mezcal based drink that was super tasty. Definitely glad that we waited to get some oysters in the DC area until we got to Hank's. 100% going to make this one a stop for a future trip too. Can't beat the location on the Warf to match the restaurant.

Oysters were reasonable size, briny but good but a bit pricey. The service experience was good from the front door to the wait staff. The rest of the food was mediocre.

Ate here for dinner on July 26, 2023. To be nice the waitress was just not good at her job or just didn’t care. She was not attentive and left us at the table for long periods of time when she needed to be there. We ordered oysters, and for some reason they thought it was a good idea to place napkins, and straws on top of the raw oyster. I ordered fish and chips and they were OK. My daughter ordered the short rib I believe and it was OK. Mac cheese was decent I guess. I asked for more napkins and the waitress gave me one. I asked for more because clearly one was not enough. She said she would be back with more, and she never came back with more so I had to get more off the table next to me. Doubtful I would ever go back, but you may like it.
