Marco's Pizza - Waukee

This was my first time ordering pizza from this restaurant since moving into the neighborhood. The pizza was fantastic.

I placed an order through the mobile app for a pick-up time of 6:30 a.m. When I arrived at 6:25 p.m., I was informed that my order would be ready in just 5 minutes. However, after 15 minutes of waiting, I had to inquire about my order before it was given to me. The food was mediocre; the pizza was lacking in toppings, with only 2 pieces of beet, and the bread was difficult to eat. I am giving Marco's a 3-star rating because some of the staff were friendly, but based on my overall experience of waiting for and eating my order, I would rate it 2 stars.

The restaurant is spacious, but they are unable to provide an accurate wait time or deliver food in a timely manner. I understand that they may be busy, but it is frustrating when they promise a 40-minute wait time and consistently deliver an hour late. This time, they told us our order would be ready by 6:11, but it is now 6:35 and we are still waiting for our pizzas. This will be my last time ordering from Marcos, as I have provided feedback on three previous occasions with no improvement.

This is a sweet little pizza shop. pizzas have a very good taste. was shocked how long it took, as we were the only ones there for lunch at 12:30 a.m., but the dishes were ordered were delicious, yet.

As I type this, I have eaten some of our pizza order, which got here half an hour after the estimated delivery time, which was itself an hour and fifteen minutes after the order was placed. If there was some notification of the time it would take before I committed to the order, I didn't see it.Being really busy is understandable--I think it's the last day of Drake Relays, and it's a Saturday, and Marco's makes really good pizza. (Despite being a bit cool, the thin crust pizza we got is as good as I remember the awesome thin crust from Imo's in St. Louis being That said, we might not have chosen to place our order had we known ahead of time how long it would take.The web site, on which I placed the order, requires that you choose a specific Marco's to prepare and optionally deliver your order. Once they know that, they should have sufficient information to respond Whoa! This Marco's is REALLY BUSY and t's liable to take [time] to get your order cooked and in your hands. Do you want to reconsider All I ask for is the info I need to make an informed choice. (Some folks have issues with drugs that need to be taken with food.)So.. .four stars tonight for time issues. ANY other time, an unhesitating five stars.
