Dicks Waldhaus - Weeze

We took a taxi to here on Friday 30th Dec and the place was closed. Costly journey back to town and ended up with a pizza instead. Very disappointed. Lesson learned - call ahead.

What a surprise. Sporadically we dropped in, attracted by a fully taken parking area. So many people can't fail. The reviews here @ trip advisor indeed made me stop, caused by some bad reviews .The menu was great by a good selection of German food. The order was taken by good service, friendly and quick. As quick the food was served. All ingredients were fresh and by good taste. The portion was big enough to get me filled up. During the dinner the service was good attentive. Lovely ambient. Nice place to eat on the way back from the airport to the Netherlands. Food is good, staff is friendly. It got really busy and took a while to attract attention from the waitress. Overall very nice!

Dicks is a pleasant place to have a meal in Weeze. The couple we were with wanted to try the wild boar as they had had this when living in the area many years ago, they thoroughly enjoyed it.

The service was German friendly. Beer was great but the food was much to salt. The nugets anc sauces where fatty and tasted cheap. The goods news was the snitzle was fine.
