Jinya Ramen Express - West Hollywood

If it weren 't for others posting pictures of El Capitan from the outdoor seating, I never would 've found this damn place. I wandered maybe 2 full laps around the mall before I found the right eatery spot. The signs here are not helpful and there is no directory except for the high end restaurants. I found this fire escape right next to Jinya that provides better directions (see picture).There was no line. They give vouchers to validate parking if you ask for it. Food is good. The view was nice. It feels very fast food compared to other Jinya locations, likely because of the express so don 't expect indoor seating or service. Leave tray and trash at tables and someone will collect but be mindful of things blowing away from the wind.Parking: Enter through cross street: Highland Ave

The ramen was delicious, and the service was pleasant. I would definitely return to try more dishes. Food rating: 4/5.

Tasty but not so fast, clean, and brown rice a little crunchy

I was served by a young gentleman who gave me incredibly small portions: just three pieces of grilled chicken and five green beans placed on top of a large bowl of noodles. It's ridiculous to be required to tip before receiving any service. When I requested a few more green beans, since I had only five, he refused. For over $40 worth of food for two broth bowls, there’s a suggested minimum tip of 15%. It's outrageous.

This has always been my go-to for delivery but they've been slipping lately. More than once they've forgotten the egg which is arguably the best part of Ramen. Guess I'll have to find a new spot for delivery.
