Went for Dine LA and very divided on this review. On one hand they gave large portions, maybe too large. The star of the meal was the short rib hash. Slow cooked beef to pull apart tenderness, thin crispy hash, topped with a French porridge consistency of scrambled eggs. The pastries, soft fluffy mini chocolate croissants with a full size kind of dry croissant. The gem salad, salted to being inedible. The pancakes, large and a crispy brown outside but not quite as fluffy inside due to their thin structure. The burger had a soft bun, a juicy medium rare patty, a delicious but over salted tomato slice, and a slice of lettuce. The service is a bit deceiving on the server side, offering to get tap water but misleading with the word still water later but coming back with opened bottled water, charged at $10. The rest of the wait staff was great. The ambiance was casual and relaxed. The only star that they get is because of the friendliness of the server. The food, which is the main purpose, could not be worse. Overall, the food was an ocean of salt and fat which masks the actual tase of the food. The lettuce was bizarrely bitter and packed with cheese. The Hamachi was salty. Frozen undercooked bone marrow (attached pic) that made us sick with intense gamey fatty and salty duck prosciutto that made the dish impossible to eat. Next was the salmon skewer which again was packed with so much salt that you just need water and lime to cleanse your pallet and get over the trauma.
