Amazing new look. fresh fish and boiled fresh love the prawn lolly pops and squid also beautiful to see a chip shop taking with a fresh lemon wedge.

Small cod and chips the perfect size for lunch. freshly cooked. a sign that says from which boats the catch originates, what the kartoffels are and where they originate (locally after whitby.) to home made tartaric acid sauce. friendly staff. beautiful atmosphere. 4 tables to eat inside. did I mention the homemade tartaric acid sauce?

Visited here Easter Sunday 2022. Absolutely brilliant fish and chips and reasonably priced too. Tasted amazing. Regular Cod and chips £9 which i thought was a good price. Staff were very polite too. When am in Whitby again I will be here buying fish and chips again.

According to Google Maps in at Russells Traditional Fish Chips. The sign above the door says Angel Fisheries though. Either way this is the best fish and chips in the world. You may disagree, you would be wrong. The haddock and chips, my personal favourite, is incredible. The fish is flavourful and delicate, with just enough batter for it. The chips are wonderfully balanced between a crunchy exterior and a fluffy interior. The prices are fair to so I don't feel ripped off. Plus the staff are friendly and always feel welcoming. I'd rate it six stars if I could.
