The best spot to grab a bite is the Ethiopian restaurant on the left side. They serve traditional Ethiopian coffee and dishes. There is always a vegan option available, just be sure to ask. In addition to the restaurant, there are various other stands selling fresh produce, cheese, samosas, chutney, sun-dried tomatoes, juice, tea, sandwiches, and much more. You can also find handicraft stands offering pearls, clothing, tapestries, and other local crafts. A stroll through this organic market is the perfect way to kick off a Saturday!
I absolutely adore the Windhoek Bio Markt (Green Market). It's a fantastic spot to mingle with locals and show support for small businesses in the community. For delicious food, I highly recommend heading to the Ethiopian stand located up the stairs on the left side. They serve traditional Ethiopian coffee and a variety of tasty dishes, with vegan options available upon request. In addition to the food stand, there are vendors offering farm-fresh vegetables, artisanal cheeses, samosas, chutney, sun-dried tomatoes, juices, tea sandwiches, and more. You can also browse through craft stalls selling handmade beads, clothing, tapestries, and other local products. A leisurely stroll through the Bio Markt is the perfect way to kick off a Saturday!
