Taqueria Tequila's - Winter Garden

Food and service Looking for a different Mexican restaurant to visit and Yelp led me to this place. On a Friday night around 6:30 we arrived and was seated quickly. They have a nice patio for outdoor seating, but we decided to sit inside. The waitress took our drink order immediately and recommended a few drinks. We ordered the skinny margarita, which was great!! For our entrees we order the garlic shrimp and birria tacos. Both items were AMAZING!! The beef was tender and full of flavor and the consume excellent. I have had birria tacos before and sometimes the beef is tough or it can be too salty, but they have perfected a great balance of flavors! We're definitely returning!!

We love this place! Margaritas are only $5 Monday and Tuesday. Love all the food I've tried. Especially the birria queso tacos are awesome, consume is delicious. The carnitas platter comes with plantains, excellent! Try the Molcajete, amazing!! Great kids menu too.

The absolute best Mexican restaurant in the world!!!!! My husband and I frequent Tacos Tequila every Tuesday and occasionally a few other nights a week. On Tuesday, you can't beat their taco and margarita specials. You can get a street taco for $3 or a supreme taco for $3.50. Margaritas are only $5 and are generously made! The birria tacos are my favorite, but there are several options to choose from and you can't go wrong with any! While their house salsa is amazing, their avocado salsa is the best salsa I have ever had. It is SPICY!!! though, so be prepared. While their tacos are delicious and phenomenal, the casa special is my favorite thing on the menu. With so many flavors, you can't go wrong with this classic Mexican dish. Good deals, great service, and tasty food!

No photos this time since I just got takeout but this place really came in for me when I needed it! There isn't much Mexican to be found yet in Horizon West, and this wasn't too far of a drive and offered takeout! I ordered the birria tacos and their queso dip with chorizo. The queso was good value and came with so many chips! They even packed up the table chips and salsa and included them in my to go order, which I appreciated! The queso wasn't my all time favorite but certainly did the job and was tasty. The birria tacos also hit the spot! The shells weren't quite as crunchy (perhaps because of takeout) as other options I've had, but the flavor was great and they gave me plenty of salsa and consommé to dip in. A filling meal when I needed it! I'd come back to dine in for sure.
