Bagel King - Winter Park

The cleanliness of the place leaves a lot to be desired. As someone who has worked in a deli in New York, I find it hard to overlook the messy display at Bagel King. They also struggle to take my simple order correctly. I always ask for a sesame bagel with cream cheese—nothing more. Yet, I often end up receiving a bagel with butter or one topped with vegetable cream cheese instead. This might be because they don't clean the knife after each use, resulting in whatever residue is left contaminating my order. This is absolutely unacceptable. Unfortunately, since I don’t live in that area, if they get my order wrong, I’m the one who loses out.

They offer bagels very close to NY style. Any bagel we have had is very good. They also offer bagel sandwiches and a verity of other choices. It would be wise to give this place a try?

This place has really gone downhill over the past year. One person working there which means he is taking payments and then makes food, repeat, with no hand washing or glove changing. That?s pretty gross. Sandwiches are sloppy and don?t have much of a taste. Maybe it?s because of the microwaved egg and bacon which just tastes like rubber. Won?t be back

This is a nice neighborhood bagel shop. It's smaller than Bagel King in Casselberry. We visited on a weekday and noticed there was only one person working. I believe every restaurant should ideally have two staff members: one to prepare the food and another to handle the cash register. When one person manages both tasks—taking credit card payments and preparing food—it raises sanitation concerns.

I can't wait to go back and try more! I ordered home fries, an asiago bagel with egg, a bacon cheese Tina's special with bacon, scrambled eggs, and an everything bagel with a side of home fries. Every dish was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. The bagels had a nice crunch on the outside but were soft on the inside. The home fries were probably the best I've ever had, and the portion was enormous! I’ll definitely be enjoying those home fries for a few more days. You could really taste the freshness in everything. The seating was cute and comfortable, perfect for browsing their almost overwhelming menu options. The atmosphere felt intimate yet relaxed. I absolutely recommend it—10/10! The food is incredible!
