Dexter's New Standard - Winter Park

We made a rsvp for 1130 got there on time sat for two hours ! Got our appetizer at 1 after getting the manager involved because the waiter avoided the table. We knew it was a busy day and could tell they were short staffed but that was unacceptable. We didn’t get to eat and just got frustrated and left @130 because the waiter said I food order was two spots behind

Rhythm and Brunch event was fantastic! Perfect venue, great food and service, music was on point and it was a fun day!

Not sure what was going on, maybe understaffed due to the pandemic. We had to wait to be welcomed by the hostess as no one was at the stand when we arrived. It was awkward just standing waiting to be acknowledged. Once we were seated we were told that they were out of menus but that some would be brought to us as more were being printed. Water was delivered in disposable plastic cups. We waited for 1 hour 45 minutes for our food to arrive. In the meantime, we did not even have place settings or napkins. No bread was offered or any explanation for the wait.

There was a nice covered terrace outside that made the unreasonably long wait time for food much more tolerable. Food was very good but it was over one hour for our order to come out. Waitress came at least 4 times to apologize And explained that they only had five people in the back helping to make and prepare food. I guess a byproduct of Covid and difficulty hiring.

The atmosphere was nice with the live band playing. At times it was a little loud and doesn't make for an environment to have conversation. The food was edible but mediocre. I had such high hopes and was let down.
