Food is very good, drinks are strong, and service is top notch. The owner stopped by our table this time around which was a nice touch. She even recognized me from a prior visit! A must if you're looking for a fun atmosphere with good food and drinks with friends.
The salads were bland, tasteless and marginal at best, we sent the top shelf margarita back because the it had carbonation in it and the wings were drowned in bbq sauce. As well, the room we sat in had a ceiling of windows and it was so hot! Probably one and done for us …
This was one of our favorite eclectic restaurants before the pandemic hit. I think it may have closed for awhile during that time. We finally got the chance to revisit and what a disappointment. I think this place still has an identity crisis and it shows in the menu, the food prep, quality and lack of direction. a second star is just for the service which is still good. We saw the new menu and most of it is burgers (beef, flatbreads and they have not ventured out much. They do have substitution with Impossible products. We started with Buffalo Cauliflower which turned out to be deep fried Cauliflower and two sauces for dipping, not Buffalo at all as it was not tossed in any sauce. I ordered one of the few things that looked appealing, a mushroom flatbread which was so dry I had difficulty cutting it. One whole side had so much Parmesan it left a bad taste and I did not see or taste the alleged added Bleu cheese. The size was that of a smaller slice of NYC pizza (which I could get for a third of the price in NYC). And yet, I could not finish it as it was too hard to chew not good. My wife ordered a sandwich she had a few previous times with chicken breast. She indicated the breast was not pounded flat as previously and had minimal flavor or toppings. She did not finish it. Additionally, we did not feel like having drinks, so we ordered sodas which had so much ice in it that the soda was watered down before we finished our dinner. What a disappointment after looking forward to going to what was one of our faves. I guess the Pandemic changed this location as it did many of us; now, as with the Pandemic, this restaurant is behind us. .
We dine every week at G&F. It is the best restaurant in Winterpark. Family owned and operated. The staff is top notch and super friendly.
GREAT restaurant, great service, great meals, great cocktail. Went here after the Morse museum (also recommend), we were just looking for a good restaurant close, but this was so much more. The service was quick and everyone was truly nice. Really interesting menu, hard to choose but everything ordered at our table was delicious and very reasonably priced. We would absolutely come back and whole heartedly recommend.
