Ay Papi is an absolutely amazing place! The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the friendly staff. They greeted me with a big smile and made me feel welcome straight away. The atmosphere in Ay Papi is lively and festive, perfect for a night out with friends. The music was great and got me in the party mood straight away. The staff was also very attentive and made sure my glass was always full. As for the food, all I can say is that it was great. Ay Papi offers an all-you-can-eat buffet with a wide range of delicious dishes, from traditional Mexican dishes to fusion dishes with a twist. I could fill my plate with nachos, tacos, and more. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. I could keep eating until I was full! What really sets Ay Papi apart is its energetic and friendly atmosphere. The staff made it a point to ensure everyone had a great time. They were always up for a chat and made sure everyone felt comfortable.
It is not a very large, but cozy place with very friendly and energetic staff. They know how to create atmosphere. The restaurant was currently working with an all-you-can-eat concept with 4 courses. There was quite a choice of snacks and also very tasty corn soup. With the bill we also got a shot of tequila and this was the first one that I also liked. So if you fancy Mexican food and want to buy something in a warm, cozy atmosphere, I definitely recommend Ay Papi!
New owners recently. Started with a new concept, 'all you can eat '. Bought through social deal for a reduced price. We were kindly received by the bartender. The snacks were ok and the soup was okay. So far all positive. Forget all the reviews from the past because this no longer has anything to do with the previous owners. All authenticity is gone. The choice is very limited, the chili con carne was not worth its name, you could only get hard fried tacos and not homemade pulled chicken and pork, no fresh salad, no sour cream, no fresh coriander, the rice was cooked to pieces, no fresh sauces only sauces from Albert Heijn, nothing fresh, maybe the guacamole, although I had my doubts about that too... very unfortunate. This seemed like a very hastily thrown together concept. In short, a very serious disappointment... when you ask for fresh, fresh salad and vegetables, you get the comment that this only belongs to fast food tex mex, well... The bartender was ok, but had nothing to say about the food...
Friendly service but you receive little explanation when you enter. Apparently they work with an all-in formula for the food, which is displayed on tables. The buffet does not have an inviting impression. For example, foodstuffs still in packaging that you have to open yourself. Half of them have no name tags, but they will help you quickly if you have questions about the dishes. Drinks order was incorrect several times even though there were only 3 tables present. The food is largely not freshly prepared but is purchased or canned. No fresh vegetables, no guacamole or sour cream. Usually blandly seasoned and fried. The chili is very tasty but not worth it for 25 per person. I'm certainly not coming back.
