We paid £89 for a Boxing Day lunch and it felt like a rip-off. The cauliflower soup was bland, the roast potatoes were reheated, the beef was overcooked, the Yorkshire pudding tasted like cardboard, and there was no cranberry sauce. It was unbelievable. The environment was nice and we dined at the Brasserie in October, but unfortunately, we will not be returning.Service: Dine-inMeal type: Lunch
We had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant in a fantastic location. The service was exceptional and personalized, with a special shoutout to our waiter Bobby and the team. The food was delicious, and we highly recommend dining here for dinner. It was well worth the price of £60-70 per person. Overall, we give it a perfect score of 5 for food, service, and atmosphere.
There are some negative reviews which as a retired international chef I found unwarranted. Superb food and service. Prices are not for the feint hearted but you know that before you arrive, it’s five star with two rosettes so you would go for that very special occasion. We stayed for two nights and loved it. Really disappointing. One underwhelming course after the other. A slab of cold goats cheese followed by over cooked linguine with no pesto (as advertised) and a selection of bland cheeses on dry biscuits (the grapes were the highlight of this course). I expected fine dining but the most enjoyable thing about it was the olive bread and butter. The piano playing was very nice. The quality and execution of the food does not tally with the high prices. What a shame.
