The waitress looked miserable and was more interested in the foot traffic outside the restaurant then us. We ordered the roti for starter which was very oily but tasted ok. I ordered the Hainese chicken for main and it arrived with skin on that was slimy and unpleasant to eat, the chicken was bland, quite fatty and the rice served for both of us was over cooked! My partner had the Malaysia chicken curry which he said was ok - after we got home though he felt unwell and I suspect it was his main course!! Spent $50 for a shared starter, 2 main courses and 2 drinks and really thought it wasn't worth it!
Saturday night dinner in town for two adult and a child we had three mains all very tasty they even made chicken noodles soup that was not on the menu ,good service and reasonably priced .
3 of us had a family dinner here on Friday night. Amazing chinese flavours, bbq pork, roast duck, stirfried bok choy with oyster sauce and an interesting malay fried rice! The restaurant had quite a few people in it but the food came out quickly. Drinks are reasonably priced too!
Dropped in on the way home from work, wanted to try it out as it was new and i was really happy with it. didn't get anything big, just 2 Entree's but both tasted amazing!Had the Prawn dumplings ($6.80) first, half steamed half fried to try them both out. Have to same i'm a big fan of the fried ones after eating this! so gooood! Steamed were nice to tho ;) plus it was good of them to let me have half half as some places i've been say its 1 or the other per serving. Should also mention that these dumplings contained an actual prawn, not a mince. (as far as i'm aware anyway, looked like a proper prawn) which i really liked. For my second Entree I had the San Choy Bao ($4.80) Never tried this before and it was really tasty! lettuce leaves with a filling of minced diced meat and vegies, really nice!I've attached pictures. The service was really good as well, Waiter keeped refilling my glass when empty and was prompt if i needed anything. Very pleasant experience.
For our main courses, we ordered the red chicken curry and the house specialty, BaBa roast duck, along with rice. We were impressed by the generous portion sizes - the red chicken curry and duck dishes were served on platters with what seemed like half a chicken and half a duck! The red curry was delicious and full of flavor, while the duck was exceptional, tender, and flavorful with perfectly balanced Asian flavors, all for the affordable price of $18.80. We are only in Adelaide for a short time and hope to return to try more of the duck dish. BaBa Gallery is a new restaurant that deserves to succeed. The food was excellent and the customer service was outstanding. The waiter took the time to discuss our preferences for how we wanted our food cooked and how spicy we liked it. They checked in on us multiple times to ensure we were satisfied. For a small restaurant on Moonta Street, they exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this restaurant. I give it 4 stars!
