Have been there a few times , but this time very disappointed,both in the service,and the food. Partner had seafood basket and I have pork belly, both were very greasy , and the salad very basic. Staff were very disinterested. We were there for a couple of hours, and from ordering our food to buying drinks they didn't speak to us at all just took our money

We visited the restaurant for a Sunday night dinner and both enjoyed the lamb roast. Generous servings with melt in your mouth meat. The staff were all very friendly and made us feel welcome. Very much appreciated on a wet and chilly night.

This restaurant is very popular and we were lucky to have made a reservation in advance, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to get a table. The food is on the pricey side, but considering the prices in Bicheno, it is actually quite reasonable for the portion sizes. The menu offers a good variety of options, but we were in the mood for typical pub food. I ordered the schnitzel, which was probably the best I've ever had. It was large and thick, and the mushroom sauce was delicious (although I would have preferred more gravy). The chips were hot, crispy, and tasty. My husband had the parmigiana, which was also excellent. Our son enjoyed the pasta with butter from the kids menu. The restaurant has lovely ocean views and is a pleasant walk from the town center. I would definitely recommend it.

I fondly remember coming to the local pub with my parents during our annual summer holidays to Bicheno many years back. It was with great delight I was able to bring my own small children back. The pub raspberry was enjoyed by them just as much as I remember from my own childhood. Unlike my parents....I didn't enforce the one-drink, no skulling rule .
