Last night, she tried to try this place. My friend and I ordered 3 dishes the long beans, Dan noodles, and a fried chicken and rice dish (forget the name). We really wanted to like this place, but I have to say the food has a big problem WAY TOO SALTY. I'm all for a well-proven dish, but that was absolutely over until the point that the food was hard to eat. Loved all flavors and spices, but simply could not pass the salt level. It is a shame because Bushwick is known for large foods and this could be a fantastic supplement if they only correct this one problem.
If you like authentic Sichuan, order xspicy; it is still not v spicy. The portion size leaves much to be desired as you can see in the pictures. Still, no bad meal! The lucky cookie was Dope, maybe the best I ever had in my life. The room was super cozy. If time and distance are not a problem, do you take your $18/entree to Chinatown for real combustion?
We ordered some family style and it was all delicious. The happy hour beer and dumplings for $10 deal is a steal and the dumplings are delicious.
Really fantastic place. Well mixed cocktails, delicious food, chill vibe and free fortune cookie to wrap things up. App: smashed cucumbers. They were super crispy but had been marinating in chili oil and had plenty of garlic. Delicious. Main:. Three pepper chicken. Signature dish for a reason. Can't go wrong with this one. Great spice without too much heat. Drink: Rye this one I loved but know what you're ordering. It's kind of like a smokey spicey Manhattan. Very boozy. If it's your bag it hits the spot. Staff was friendly and attentive. Will be back!
