Hillbrook Inn - Charles Town

The inn is charming and looks like a fairy tale book. the food was excellent. the waiting period was a bit long, and the waiting staff was not particularly attentive, although we were the only guests at that time.

Super secluded and perfect for a relaxing short holiday

The ambiente and the service exceeded expectations. the food was also delicious and for the 6 courses to fill. we had a fantastic time and will return.

We've been coming to the Hillbrook for 3 years now and this year was honestly a disappointment. The atmosphere and the service were great but the food was lacking in quality and portions size plus it was overpriced. Our salad almost appeared to be made with iceberg lettuce. Just a weak showing for a place that touts themselves as being so great. Not sure we'd give them another shot after this.

This great dining experience started from the time we checked in and enjoyed cocktails in the waiting area. Loved the layout and the waiting area concept. I also enjoyed the charm of the restaurant and how the historic nature of the property just resonates through the rooms all the way to the dining area. As for the food…. Amazing, everything we had was made to perfection. Something as simple as a salad was bursting with flavor to include the taste of freshness. To pair, we had the Prosecco from their wine list My wife had the scallops as an appetizer and normally she shared a bite or two. Not this time. By the time I looked up to ask for a bite, it was gone as I too was busy enjoying my salad. The main course was just absolute perfection. We all ordered the beef tenderloin and it came out with the perfect temperature, doneness, and seasoning. The cab the restaurant suggested also paired very well. Lastly, thank you Jan for taking the time to talk with us. It was great meeting you and learning about the property. And cheers to your amazing staff. Everyone was so very warm and hospitable.
