Future Cafe - Colac

Delicious meals, great service and friendly staff. But if you are trying to lose weight don't even look in the display cabinet. They have THE BEST cakes and sweets you've ever seen. Just thinking of them makes my mouth water.

Unfortunately this needs work! The food is if the same excellent standard of the cafe as I expect it all comes from the same kitchen. However, a few small tables scattered around a cavernous room - no atmosphere or ambience at all. The staff member stood right beside me (well inside my personal space) at the counter asking me what I wanted before I had a chance to even look. I told her I would let her know when I decided! She reluctantly left my side. I ordered 2 wraps/souvies. Both were generous in fillings but were both cold in the middle even though same staff member had tried to heat them up. The cold lamb was quite unappetising. Same served at the cafe have been hot and delicious. Coffee was good but again served lukewarm. Another staff member spent her time chatting to other patrons on personal matters. This should be good but the staffing really needs to be addressed if it is to succeed. Food and coffee need to be hot in winter and staff certainly need more training on customer service and food preparation/ service

We called in here on the recommendation of a local and ordered some food to take away. Really glad that we did. Can't remember the name of what we ordered - it was sort of like an open pastie and very yummy and delicious. We shall be stopping here again!

Somewhere along the way the future cafe with it's futuristic theme, turned into a pretty basic looking Turkish cafe complete with kababs!!Gone was the plush decor as shown on the photos, replaced with pretty ordinary cafe tables and chairs and I do mean ordinary.. However, the food was tasty and well cooked and the coffee hot and strong, the way we like it.. A fridge full of goodies, if the pics on the wall of set meals doesn't do it for you.. pleasant staff and helpful.. but definitely not ahead of it's time.. Meal prices were a little xxy for kababs with salad.

We have been here twice now. The second visit the staff remembered us and even what we ordered last visit! Really lovely friendly service. The food is amazing. A huge variety of authentic fresh and delicious Turkish food. Also great coffee and cakes. They have an outdoor courtyard which is pleasant and peaceful.
