Charming little cafe with window seats facing the beautiful canal. The day we visited was also the day where strong gale winds prevailed, and all outdoor activities were stopped. We settled for a carrot cake and a chai latte and they were divine. On another day with better weather, this should be one of the must-sees in Christchurch!

Great place for kayaking $17 to hire), the river is beautiful in all seasons. There is a friendly duck Jimmy) that comes up to people for pets.

We had an excellent experience today canoeing down the peaceful river Avon! Kudos to Rory from Antigua boat shed for making us laugh and sharing lots of interesting stories about the history of the building, the area and the wildlife, great costumer service and highly recommend wee activity!
