Old Ghan - Hawker

Bob's restaurant is by far the best place to dine in the Flinders. His food is delicious and the portions are very generous, I'm still thinking about his mushroom sauce! Bob is a real character who calls a spade, a spade. He was great with our kids, and was happy to chat about the history of the Restaurant, the old Hawker Station. We had an early booking and were the first diners in, Bob was happy to show us through the station which was very much appreciated. We highly recommend the Quandong Eton Mess for dessert, made from Quandong's that Bob grows in his garden. We dined here on our final night in the Flinders and it was a nice way to finish the trip. Thank you for a great evening Bob!

The Old Ghan is awesome! Just polished off a fillet steak and it literally took up half the plate! So tasty and perfectly cooked. The venue is cosy, Bob comes over to introduce himself and the chef and doesn’t mind a bit of banter. Absolutely loved my experience here and highly recommend!
