Sightseer's Cafe - Hawker

After riding in the rain for hours from the South, we were cold and hungry. We stopped at this restaurant where a fire was going and we warmed up by it. We enjoyed hot gluten-free soup with homemade scones, followed by delicious steak sandwiches - one on gluten-free bread and one on regular bread. The hot chocolates were also excellent. We appreciated the variety of gluten-free options on the menu and have been praising the food all the way to Alice Springs and beyond. The food was delicious, reasonably priced, and the hot chocolate was a highlight. Thank you for having the fire going, it added to the cozy atmosphere. :-)

I had lunch at this restaurant and I was very impressed with the lunch choices and coffee. If you are coming to Pound for the day, make sure to eat here first because the food is much fresher.

Had lunch at this little cafe both to and from Birdsville, the only place I felt safe eating for the entire trip. Great variety. Thank you so much.

No nonsense outback food spot. Great service and low fuss meals and snacks. Well located in Hawker as a hub in the Flinders Ranges. Coffee is rather good. Easy stroll to galleries and shops nearby. Good parking opposite for long trailers and caravans.

We had good food, home made soups etc. served with a smile. Even had a proper china Cup and Saucer, for my tea. We were truly amazed to find such a nice place so far from anywhere.
