Istid - Hellerup

Disappointing. The waterfront ad had icecream sandwich and banana split pictures but they don't actually carry these items. There are 4 flavors: lemon curd, salty caramel, vanilla and brownie cookie. Only the salty caramel and lemond curd tasted good. The other two were really flavorless. The concept is interesting though: fresh icecream made right in front of you with kitchenaid mixers and liquid nitrogen. Well, being a safety concerned chemist, I don't necessarily approve the way they handle the liquid nitrogen, but nevermind that. Service slow due to individual icecream making process. I don't know how long this business will survive with those tasteless icecream options. One reason that they might be tasteless is because they are vegan, the vanilla and brownie cookie flavors? Made with coconut milk. I wanted to like this place but unfortunately it is only the salty caramel that I would get.
