Parking was easy to find and even though we came on a fairly busy Saturday night without a reservation we were seated promptly. We ordered some of the specials, cajun calamari and a baked crab and scallop dish. Everything was delicious, fresh and cooked perfectly! The cocktails we ordered were also very tasty.
We came in from Missouri as part of a group that stayed nearby for the week. We came in 3 or 4 times during the 5 day stay, and we loved every visit. The staff was super friendly, and made us feel right at home. There was one night the kitchen closed early, and we compeletely understood, but the woman up front still offered us the rest of the chowder and cornbread. It was delicious, best clam chowder I've ever had. My husband and I loved everything we had each time. Lobster Mac and Cheese, Clam Plate, Roast Beef Sandwich, Reuben Sandwich, Hot Wings, everything was amazing, and prices were so reasonable! Even the drinks were delicious. We are back in Missouri left with a sad feeling that we can't walk to our own version of Three Cod here. We will definitely be planning trips back to Marblehead to come back and visit. :
The food was very good. I had the haddock. Wife had fried pickles that were also terrific! The best however, is the staff!! I can’t stress this enough. EVERYONE we spoke to was over the top helpful and friendly!! Do not miss this while in the area. Thanks!!
Fabulous find..atmoshere a historic tavern, dining side for families, larger parties. Bar side bar, tvs, high tops tables.. very happy fun area. Table for 2 in corner was perfect to watch staff interactions customers. Our waitress Carolyne was gracious and welcoming. In Marblehead..wanted fish order Fish Chips..busy dining room got our food fast. Haddock was fresh, coating was perfect. Large portion with fries. Coleslaw tangy and good. There was no leftovers. This was a wonderful lunch and a must try. Owner chatted with everyone as she sat them. She loves what she does and proud of what she and her husband have done for last 15 years. WE WILL BE BACK.
Ate here twice (lunch, then dinner) during our visit to Marblehead. First stop was after driving for hours and just needed a place to eat. Upon walking in we immediately felt welcome. Townie atmosphere with quick, lively service and really good seafood. Both visits our food was fresh and hot, while our drinks were cold and strong. Perfect combo for us weary travelers. Owned by locals and well worth the visit.
