Townsend - Philadelphia

My husband and I love to eat and trying new places. While we have been to Townsend before, this was the first time trying the tasting menu. For $100, you get a lot and get a lovely adventure of the taste buds. Now, it has been 5 months since we had a date night (newborns will do that), but we thoroughly enjoyed our time. Our server was also very attentive and kind. The beef tartar and the skate were my favorite.

My husband and I had very good experience throughout the night. We visited to take advantage of restaurant week cuz it's a good chance to try out new restaurants and it was beyond our expectation. Good food and good service. Even though on busy Saturday evening, the service was nice and efficient. Loved the cocktails and kind bartenders! We will be returning to get full courses and can't wait to do so

Just go here. The tasting menu with wine pairings was exquisite. The service was incredible. The ambience was perfectly cozy. I drooled the entire time, I consumed every bite with gusto, and I will be back if they allow me.

The small room in the back creates a romantic atmosphere for any special occasion. If you tell them in advance that you are celebrating a birthday or anniversary, they will personalize your menu for that occasion, which I think is a special touch. As for the food, the flavors, variety, and presentation are fantastic. Highly recommend picking several dishes to try. The oysters were an amazing appetizer and the steak is definitely on point and cooked to perfection.
