O Dowds Cafe - Roundstone

I just got an Oat latte for the farewell, but the caffe looked nice, the eating looked great and there were many vegan options on the menu. Unfortunately there was no vegan cake anymore.

I had a delicious sandwich with tofu, pesto, and mayo, accompanied by a cappuccino with milk. The vegan options are clearly labeled. The staff was friendly, and the location is beautiful.

A lovely cozy cafe located in a quaint town along the Connemara coast.

After traveling through what felt like an abandoned coastline for miles, we stumbled upon this gem. The hearty soup was delicious, and the sandwich was very filling. We also indulged in a chocolate cake and enjoyed a great cup of coffee. We were thrilled to discover a place that caters to vegans, especially in such a remote area. The staff was very friendly, and we had a fantastic time chatting with the other customers as well.

This is for O'Dowds cafe in Roundstone, rather than O'Dowds restaurant and bar next door which didn't seem to have any vegan options. The cafe had a vegan menu, which were given without asking for it. Several light mains (open tofurkey sandwiches, rice with sea vegetables and mushrooms, pizza, and others , a chocolate torte, vegan Irish coffee, and a couple of vegan wines. Our meals were very nice, and the staff friendly and helpful. The cafe looks out over the nearby bay, from ground or first floor, and also provides a laptop for internet access. We were very pleased (and surprised! to find it a real treat on a damp Connemara day.
