My favourite dish was the meze of Baba Ganoush, really delicious and with very quick refills of delicious warm bread to mop it all up with, what is not to like! Some dishes such as the Kalamari was nicely cooked but strange that the batter had a sweetness to it like honey had been drizzled on top, not unpleasant but don't think it blends well. The mix grill was delicious, especially the chicken kofte patties and the other mains that come in big portions which are perfect for sharing. The mousaka was good, wasn't blown away as the flavours were quite mild and could have been served a bit hotter. The service was great and the restaurant itself is a great place to eat with its lovely decor, arched wooden ceilings and it's buzzing atmosphere. Would happily eat here again for a filling and comfortable meal after a movie or if you want to eat close to the main stations.
The restaurant is in Waterloo, a short walk from Waterloo or Southwark station. It's uniquely located under the bridge and has nice decor (both in and out) and the tables are very spaced out. The service was good with a friendly staff. Unfortunately the food is ok, bordering on mediocre.
I had a great time eating delicious food at your restaurant. The waiters and waitresses were committed to great service and were very friendly. The atmosphere was awesome and I definitely liked your style. Most importantly, every food and drink on your menu I had tasted great!
For a £18 mixed grill the portion size was not sufficient. Small slice of lamb steak and chicken steak and 2 small round minced kebabs of chicken and lamb. The meat wasn't particularly great quality. Service was slow and poor (wasn't really busy), but there was only 1 server. The mousakka had hardly any meat and was mostly vegetables.
Pleasant, busy, modern Turkish restaurant under the railway arches near Southwark Station. Quite well patronised, especially on a Friday evening. The dinner set menus are about £28 per head, but you do get quite a lot for it in some cases I found my vegetarian option very generous you're given so much that it's impossible to finish it all a sitting. The good thing is that you can take away the uneaten portion of your meal with you in a doggy bag, so you can enjoy it all over again the next day with no waste. Reasonable selection of beers, wines and spirits. They even do cocktails if you're that way inclined. Well worth a try.
