Ikigai Coffee Deli - Swellendam

One of the better coffee shops in Swellendam. The coffee was really well done and they have some nice items on the menu that we would definitely try next time we pass through (French toast for sure! . The whole place is done well so you could even work outside if you wanted. Will definitely be back!

Great coffee shop in a lovely part of Swellendam. The space is stylishly decorated contemporary modern, with some rustic touches. The fireplace contributes much to the warmth and ambience of the space. The coffee is of an excellent quality. I had a flat white and a brownie. They heated, the brownie and it came with cream nice little details. The staff should also be commented for their friendly and calm demeanor. My only qualm was that the WiFi was off during both my visits, and I needed to get some work done. This was not a serious problem during my second visit, but during the first visit I needed WIFI and decided to go somewhere else. That said, as a whole I prefer Ikigai to some of the other coffee shops in the area.

Nice coffee shop and sandwiches for a quick lunch or takeaway. They had a nice selection of coffee and tea options. Fridge full of cool drinks with tons of options. Lots of seating indoors by a nice warm fire which was perfect for the rainy chilly weather. Very cool design and hip art pieces. The sandwiches were served on large freshly baked buns which delicious toppings. Loved the grilled chicken and the pulled pork sandwiches.

We went there hoping for a sandwich for lunch, and upon entrance were told that was available. The menu however spoke otherwise, so we settled for a scone and cheese cake to accompany the the coffee. Both were very good but did not quite make up for the absence of a sandwich.

A must-visit when passing through Swellendam! It's a fantastic spot for a delicious meal and great coffee in a modern atmosphere. The complete renovation of this area is worth experiencing, especially compared to the previous main road.
