There's a curated menu of coffee blends from regions around the world, including indonesian kopi lupak.Coffee is served black; you have to ask for cream separately, I was so impressed about the menu which showing the level of acidity of different regions of coffee beans. The dessert was just OK, but still a good choices with black coffee.
Excellent coffee and pastries. Owned by a Taiwanese businessman and well run by a Japanese manager, the coffee here is excellent. Yes, its a bit pricey, but the the method they use, the care and attention provided into each cup is amazing! I don't drink black coffee very often, but here... always black!
Wonderful and unique coffees from around the world. Run by Taiwanese/Chinese people this is a unique blend of Italian/Asian Coffee styles with nice pastries and so-so savoury dishes. Can be busy, but they take reservations. Do try the Blue Mountain Coffee. Location is a little odd in the breezeway between 41st Avenue the Alley leading to London Drugs in Kerrisdale...Good Luck and Enjoy!
As a bucket list, I wanted to try the Kopi Luwak coffee. This Civet Cat Poop Coffee known as the most expensive coffee in the world. After researching, we finally came across this cafe in Vancouver. Walked in, greeted by the friendly staff in this beautiful cafe. Ordered this coffee with the price of $60!! This was more of a full-serve experience. Our server brewed this at our table using the siphon machine - a very intricate machine. The coffee was brewed 3 times using the same beans and each "run" had a different taste and aroma. As the first time was a smooth coffee with no bad after taste, second was a milder version of it and the third time was a very mild and almost like a hybrid between coffee and tea. This is my opinion and may be different to everybodyThe experience was quite amazing and this coffee made me rethink of the daily brew I drink everyday. Every coffee lover should experience this. Instead of a crazy wired feeling, we felt calm and peaceful afterwards. This coffee must be magical!
